Medium-operation backup
100 kVA diesel generator
Rated output: 100 kVA · Approx. 80 kW at PF 0.8 · Voltage: 400 V / 50 Hz
100 kVA diesel generators are the standard choice for backing up medium-sized operations — production halls, agricultural complexes, hospitals or data nodes. The 80 kW output (at PF 0.8) can support selected facility loads — HVAC, lighting and process equipment — after the load and start profile are verified.
Duty types
PRP and ESP are not interchangeable
ESP — standby power
Emergency operation during grid outages at variable load. The rating applies to limited-hour standby duty, not continuous running.
PRP — prime power
Variable continuous operation as the main power source. A prime rating is lower than the standby rating of the same unit and is confirmed per engine and application.
Tell us the intended duty when you inquire — the required rating (PRP or ESP) for your 100 kVA project is confirmed during sizing, never assumed.
Typical use
Typical applications for a 100 kVA generator
Small and mid-size production
Backup for production lines, assembly and process units up to about 80 kW.
Agricultural complexes
Power for larger farms, grain dryers, cold stores and refrigeration plants.
Hospitals and healthcare
Backup for operating theatres, ICU and medical equipment where fast starting is required.
Hotels and guesthouses
Backup for air-conditioning, lifts, kitchens and safety systems during outages.
Data nodes and server rooms
Backup for small data rooms, server rooms and telecom nodes, typically combined with UPS bridging.
Large building sites
Primary power for larger construction projects with multiple machines and site facilities.
Available brands
Manufacturers available at 100 kVA
AKSA
20–3000 kVAPrimary brand of ESKO Generator — authorised dealer for the Czech Republic and Slovakia; other brands are available depending on the project.

Typical configuration of a 100 kVA generator
Automatic transfer switch (ATS)
Detects a grid failure and starts the generator automatically, changeover in about 10 seconds on suitable models — unattended operation agreed per project.
Remote monitoring options
GSM alarm notifications and remote diagnostics of the control unit where supported by the selected model; SCADA or DCIM integration is an individual project solution.
Fuel tank options
Base tanks for around 8 hours at full output, extendable to longer autonomy depending on the model.
Acoustic canopy
Low-noise execution for installations in built-up or mixed-use areas; the exact sound level depends on the model.
All options above are project variants depending on the selected model and agreed scope — they are not universal features of every unit. Tank autonomy, sound levels, monitoring interfaces, HVO compatibility and paralleling are confirmed for the specific configuration in your quotation. All units come with the manufacturer's warranty.

Frequently asked questions
100 kVA — common questions
Is a 100 kVA generator the right size for my project?
A 100 kVA rating corresponds to roughly 80 kW of usable output at a power factor of 0.8. Compare the total connected load of your facility, including starting currents of the largest motors, with the continuous load you need to sustain. Our engineers verify the final sizing from your actual load profile before a quotation.
Is 100 kVA a standby (ESP) or prime (PRP) rating?
Both duty types exist in this power class, and the numbers are not interchangeable: an ESP (standby) rating applies to emergency operation during grid outages, while PRP (prime) applies to variable continuous operation. Always tell us the intended duty — the required rating (PRP or ESP) is confirmed during project sizing, never assumed.
Can a 100 kVA unit run in parallel for more capacity?
Yes — multiple units can be operated in parallel where the selected models and control configuration support synchronisation. Paralleling (for example N+1 redundancy or scaling beyond 100 kVA) is a project configuration, designed and confirmed individually.
Czech projects
Supply, design, commissioning or turnkey
For Czech customers we can deliver the generator alone, design the installation, commission it on a prepared site, or realize the project turnkey — with contracted service according to the agreed scope. The scope is clarified during consultation.
International
Direct sale, preferably EXW CZ/NL
International customers receive a direct generator sale, preferably EXW CZ/NL, with transport arranged individually. Installation and service abroad are confirmed individually per destination and model.
Availability and dispatch
Availability depends on the rating — the current stock list starts at 25 kVA ESP, and availability of the requested rating is confirmed in your quotation. Confirmed warehouse units can be dispatched within 48 hours after the order, conditions and payment are closed — a dispatch time, not a delivery-time promise. The current stock list covers models that are in stock or in transit.
