Above 1 MW
1500 kVA diesel generator
Rated output: 1500 kVA · Approx. 1200 kW at PF 0.8 · Voltage: 400 V / 50 Hz
1500 kVA generators are a powerful standby or primary source for large data centres, industrial parks and energy projects requiring more than 1 MW. They are commonly supplied in configurations for parallel operation and integrated into the site's control systems. Units at this level are built per project.
Duty types
PRP and ESP are not interchangeable
ESP — standby power
Emergency operation during grid outages at variable load. The rating applies to limited-hour standby duty, not continuous running.
PRP — prime power
Variable continuous operation as the main power source. A prime rating is lower than the standby rating of the same unit and is confirmed per engine and application.
Tell us the intended duty when you inquire — the required rating (PRP or ESP) for your 1500 kVA project is confirmed during sizing, never assumed.
Typical use
Typical applications for a 1500 kVA generator
Large data centres (Tier III–IV)
Backup for critical data centres above 1 MW — N+1 redundancy, DCIM integration.
Industrial parks
Central standby source for industrial parks with several production plants and shared distribution.
Energy projects
Primary power for off-grid industrial sites, oil fields and energy infrastructure.
Off-grid power
Primary source for industrial locations remote from the distribution grid — mining, raw material processing.
Hospital campuses
Backup for an entire hospital campus or regional healthcare centre.
Petrochemical plants
Backup for refineries, petrochemical plants and complexes with continuous operation.
Available brands
Manufacturers available at 1500 kVA
AKSA
20–3000 kVAPrimary brand of ESKO Generator — authorised dealer for the Czech Republic and Slovakia; other brands are available depending on the project.

Typical configuration of a 1500 kVA generator
Parallel synchronisation
Project option: parallel operation, N+1-style redundancy designs and synchronisation with the site distribution, engineered per project.
SCADA / DCIM integration
Integration into the site's control systems where supported by the selected equipment — an individual project solution.
N+1 redundancy
A configuration with a reserve unit is a redundancy design engineered individually per project; loads that must ride through the changeover typically require UPS support.
Extended fuel autonomy
Long-running configurations with internal or external storage tanks, depending on the model and project requirements.
All options above are project variants depending on the selected model and agreed scope — they are not universal features of every unit. Tank autonomy, sound levels, monitoring interfaces, HVO compatibility and paralleling are confirmed for the specific configuration in your quotation. All units come with the manufacturer's warranty.

Frequently asked questions
1500 kVA — common questions
Is a 1500 kVA generator the right size for my project?
A 1500 kVA rating corresponds to roughly 1200 kW of usable output at a power factor of 0.8. Compare the total connected load of your facility, including starting currents of the largest motors, with the continuous load you need to sustain. Our engineers verify the final sizing from your actual load profile before a quotation.
Is 1500 kVA a standby (ESP) or prime (PRP) rating?
Both duty types exist in this power class, and the numbers are not interchangeable: an ESP (standby) rating applies to emergency operation during grid outages, while PRP (prime) applies to variable continuous operation. Always tell us the intended duty — the required rating (PRP or ESP) is confirmed during project sizing, never assumed.
How are above-1 MW projects realised?
Projects at this level are always engineered individually: sizing, parallel configuration, grid synchronisation and site integration are confirmed during the project. In Czechia we can deliver supply-only up to turnkey realization with contracted service; international supply is preferably EXW CZ/NL with installation and service abroad confirmed individually.
Czech projects
Supply, design, commissioning or turnkey
For Czech customers we can deliver the generator alone, design the installation, commission it on a prepared site, or realize the project turnkey — with contracted service according to the agreed scope. The scope is clarified during consultation.
International
Direct sale, preferably EXW CZ/NL
International customers receive a direct generator sale, preferably EXW CZ/NL, with transport arranged individually. Installation and service abroad are confirmed individually per destination and model.
Availability and dispatch
Units of 1500 kVA and above are typically configured and built per project rather than held in warehouse stock — the shared stock list currently covers ratings up to 825 kVA ESP. Send us your requirement and the configuration, availability and lead time are confirmed in your quotation.
Non-binding consultation
